Disclosure Statement & Client Contract

In an effort to serve you better, we have included our For the Moon statement of disclosure and booking policies. Please treat this policy as your contract with For the Moon, making sure to read through it carefully.

In registering with For the Moon you (the client) agree to and understand the following:

That you, the client (also referred to as couple and partners), are agreeing to use For the Moon (also referred to as FTM) as your honeymoon registry provider. You are required to select one of our packages and pay a one-time setup fee. This fee must be paid by check or credit card to FTM before the registry will be activated.

FTM charges a per gift transaction fee for all purchases made for the couple clients. These fees are deducted from each gifted amount and are not charged to the couple. Each gift amount will appear 5%-10% higher on your registry site than actual gift cost (e.g., if hotel accommodations of $100 per night will appear on your registry as a gift amount of $110).

The breakout of the packages are as follow:

The Silver Package - A one-time set-up fee of $19.95 and the transaction fee for each gift purchased is 10%
    
The Gold Package - A one time set-up fee of $39.95 and the transaction fee for each gift purchased is 8%
    
The Platinum Package - A one time set-up fee of $74.95 and the transaction fee for each gift purchased is 5%

Once you choose a package and the registry is activated you can not change to another package option.

FTM Registry Service is in no way to be held liable for any travel plans arranged by the client or an outside travel agent, wholesalers, airline(s), resorts and tour operators.

FTM is not held liable for any issues on the honeymoon (i.e. airfare, accommodations, car rentals, activities, etc). FTM recommends that all couples purchase travel insurance from their travel agent to help protect against any losses due to unforeseen issues.

Couples understand that although they choose to use FTM for their on-line honeymoon registry, they do not have to book travel with us to have a registry.

All funds collected by FTM on behalf of the couple will be paid out in check form directly to the couple based on predetermined payout dates set by FTM and the couple when registry is activated.

You, the couple, are required to pay for your honeymoon. Many resorts and locations require that all balances on bookings be paid in full at least 30-60 days prior to departure. Most registries do not pay out until one week prior to departure, with an additional payout (if required), after the honeymoon has concluded.  Please note that the registry will stay open for a set period of time after the payout date to collect any last-minute gifts. These gifted amounts will be paid out after the registry has closed and the couple returns from the trip.

FTM does not book activities or travel (i.e. airfare, accommodations, surf lessons, dinner cruises, spa trips, etc). This allows the couple more flexibility when planning their honeymoon.  FTM will collect the gifted amounts and present them to the couple by check.

If the wedding/event is canceled by the couple’s request, all funds will be reimbursed to the contributors (i.e. guests). The couple is responsible for the full transaction fee and any penalties assessed by the credit card companies for refunding of all gifted amounts. This insures that guests receive full credit for their gifts and FTM is compensated for services rendered (i.e. credit card transactions). The couple will not be refunded their set-up/hosting fee. No reimbursements will be distributed until all of the outstanding fees are paid out by the couple.
 
Your personal information will be used by For the Moon only, and will not be shared with outside parties of any kind. For more information, see our security and privacy disclosure.

FTM is not responsible for the material and content that the couple or their guests enter or post onto the couple’s web pages.  FTM reserves the right at any time to de-activate any registry that has inappropriate, vulgar and/or unlawful content.
