Our Honeymoon in Hawaii

Tana & Derick Alderman’s story began in 1999 with a mutual desire to help couples plan and produce unique weddings and events. It was there in the special events industry that they too fell in love.

When they began to plan their own special day they knew it was going to be something unlike anything they had ever been a part of. With a passion for travel and creativity, they chose the beautiful island of Maui as the backdrop for their “Weddmoon” and began to plan the destination wedding and honeymoon of their dreams. 
 
With 10 years of experience in the industry, travel planning for everyone was a breeze, but the budget made it clear that the honeymoon wasn’t going to be all they had dreamed of. Then, fortunately for Tana and Derick, they heard of a new and unique concept called a honeymoon registry.

What a great idea, they thought! Instead of China, towels and house wares (which, like most couples today, they already had) loved ones assisted them with airfare, hotels, romantic dinners, and a list of activities they never thought they could afford.

Thanks to the love and support of friends and family, Tana & Derick were able to plan a magical three-week honeymoon filled with memories they will never forget. They realized that a professional and personalized honeymoon registry service was a gift that needed to be shared with all couples.

For most soon-to-be newlyweds, the desire for a fabulous honeymoon is just as important as their dream of the perfect wedding, and much more memorable than a toaster or casserole dish! For The Moon was born of Tana and Derick’s vision to help other couples realize their own dreams.
